Wishing Star

Summary: Dai Kotomi, a guy who felt in love with Reiki Tomoyo who is a close friend to Dai but sadly after their school result’s out, Dai were unable to keep up with her and were force to go to another school which is quite far away from his hometown. After 5 years, what will happen to them?

Chapter 1: Separated

“Wow! The star is shining brightly tonight…” said Reiki Tomoyo.

Reiki Tomoyo, a girl who is always cheerful and always put on a smile on her face whenever she see her friend.

“Yeah… it felt good to see the star shining,” I said while staring at the shinning star.

“Dai, if something were to happen to me… what would you do?” asked Reiki.

“Come on! Don’t say something like that. Nothing’s going to happen, trust me.” I replied. I was quite surprised at what she had just ask me because this is the first time I ever saw her expression like this.

She smiled and said, “Oh well! You haven’t changed a bit, do you?”

“Reiki, you know… I won’t change and you know the reason, don’t you? I…”

Before I can finish my sentence she interrupted, “Oh look! A wishing star! Come on make a wish!”

She closed her eyes, hold her hands together and starts making a wish. Looking at her, I too followed what she did.

I closed my eyes. I thought for a while and said to myself, “There’s only one thing that I wanted…” I said it in my mind.

‘I wish the person beside me will always stay with me forever in my life and eternity.’

I opened my eyes and saw her still making her wish. Her cute face makes me wonder. It would be great if I can stay beside her forever. She knows that I like her very much and eventhough she rejected me but we are still close friends. Very close friend indeed and even many people ask if she’s my girlfriend. Sometimes I wish I could just say “Ya, she is, so?” I’m afraid if I said that and she will starts to avoid me. The avoiding part will be more painful when I’m admiring her. So I wish that we could be like this for a while. I don’t want to part from her.

We always meet at this place - a very aged tree with grassland around and river which is near the school. During the day we always hang out here because of the quietness and it’s quite windy. When it’s night time, it’s the best spot for watching the stars and we can hear the insects buzzing around and if we are lucky we can see a school of fireflies flying around at night.

She finally opened her eyes and looked at me with a smile.

“What did you wish for?” I asked.

“Mmm… I’m not going to tell you!” she laughed.

“Oh come on!” I said hastily.

“It’s late. I have to go.” She ignored what I’ve said.

“Oh ok… I will walk you home.” I replied back in a sad way.

“Mmm... It’s okay, don’t worry about me, I can walk home by myself. See you tomorrow.” She said and walked quickly towards her house direction.

I stared at her until her shadow disappears. Few seconds later, I looked up at the dark clear sky and said, “Sigh, tomorrow is the day we’re getting our results for our exam… hope that I have good marks for my entire subject and… hope I will be able to stay with her.”

“Good Morning!” said everybody who’s on their way to school and those who bump into their friends.

“Hey Dai, how’s your test last week?” asked Mikako Noriyuki.

Mikako Noriyuki is a very confident guy and whom I trust most among my other friends.

“Oh it went fine. I don’t think I need to worry about that one,” I replied and continued “How’s yours?”

“Mine? Well… I just hope that I can at least get a pass and I would be dead happy!” answered Mikako.
“Ha-ha… don’t worry! Your results are always good and never get a red mark before!” I said.

“True but you know its human nature to be scared eventhough you know what you are going to get what you have expected. Ha-ha!” Mikako said with a laughter.

“Whoa, what confident,” I speak softly.

“Time for class!” said our homeroom teacher. “As usual, cleaning and then after a short break, you all will be getting back your report book.”

“Man! Cleaning is what I hate to do most! I don’t even have to clean my own room! I’m off to the cafeteria! Want to come along?” asked Mikako.

“No thanks…” I replied.

“Aww… come on! Don’t be such a party pooper!” Mikako said and tried to drag me along with him.

“No really. I want to do some cleaning. It’s my last day in this school and I want to remember and have a memory for it…” I replied.

“Haiz… suit yourself,” He said.

“Hey Reiki, want to go to the cafeteria with me?” Mikako asked.

“Mmmm… no thanks,” She replied back with a smile.

“Oh Man… both of you is hopeless! Sigh… catch you two later!” he said and wandered off to the cafeteria.

“Whew! Done here,” I said and looked around. No one left except Reiki, she was wiping the blackboard.

“Hey let me help you with that,” I said and went to get a wet cloth and helped her.

“Thanks!” she said.

“You’re always welcome,” I said. It’s a very common word used between us because every time I would try my best to help her even when I’m quite busy with my stuff, to show how much I really really like her.

“Let’s rest a bit and wait for the report book, shall we?” Reiki said.

“Sure,” I said.

“Ahh… it sure feels good after all the work,” I said. She looked at me and smiled and went back to her day-dreaming.
Sometime I really want to think that she is really mine… I don’t know what really attracts me to her but it’s just so undeniable that I really do like her.

“Hey Dai, what are you going to do in the future? I mean like your future career?” she asked.

“Mmm… I don’t know. I haven’t decided it yet. What about you?” I replied

“Same here,” She replied.

After a short silence, I looked deeply at her and said, “I wish we could be together in the future...”

“Dai… you know the reason. Please don’t let me say it again…” She answered.

I breathed deeply and look away from her. I stared at my table feeling a bit sad and have been hurt deeply again and something heavy for my heart to carry…

“Sorry but I really can’t…” she said.

“Please say no more…” I said reluctantly.

Students started to return back to the class and in the seats and teacher came in and we are about to get our report book.

“Well all I have to say is that you all did a good job in your exam! Except a few of you…” said the teacher.

One by one my classmates were called and they went to get their report book while I tried my best to get rid of the rejected pain.

As usual Reiki and Mikako did great on their exam and then finally it’s my turn to get my report book. I went and get it and return to my seat quietly, opened it up secretly and look at my results while the rest is busy with comparing their result among others.

I closed the book and stared at the floor…

“Alright! Class dismiss and wish you all good luck in your new school!” said the teacher.

“Hey! How’s your result Dai?” Mikako asked and continued “Where the hell did he go?”

I withdrew myself silently away from the classroom and went home.

“This is… the end for me…” I muttered.

“What did I do wrong? How did this happen…” I muttered again.

Bring-bring…

I look at my cell phone. It’s Reiki. Without a second thought I quickly switched off my cell phone. I have no more right to talk to her.

No more times where I’m with her and help her around…

No more of her smiling faces…

Less chance in seeing each other…

No more happy times with her…

Less reason in contacting her…

No more of her sweet voice…

“This isn’t my day! Got rejected and then failure in my studies…” I said sadly. “Nothing’s right for me! What did I do wrong?” I sobbed. “Stupid wishing star! I thought you grant people their wishes! Look! I wished and look what did I get! And the wish is not just something bad… it’s like a total opposite!” I cried.

I tried to cool down myself and went to sleep.

The phone rang few days later. It’s a telephone ring from Reiki.

“Mom… can you answer the phone and said I’m not at home?” I requested.

“Alright…” My mom said.

“Hello. Is Dai at home?” asked Reiki.

“Oh Reiki… maybe you should try next time. He’s not at home now,” said my mom.

“Oh okay… thanks and bye,” she said and closed the phone.

“I’m a goner,” I thought to myself, “No more for me.”

After a while, my dad came in and sat down beside me. “Son, I found a school that might accept you. It’s near where your uncle Ryoko lives.” He said.

I kept silent.

“I know it’s very far away from here… but you have to continue your studies no matter what…” he said.

“What choice do I have…?” I replied sadly.

“Tomorrow morning, your mom’s going to bring you over there… so go and pack up your stuff, okay?” My father said and I just nodded.

What I can do now is forget about her and I will have a new life to live… maybe it’s good for me… to left her…

“Hello Dai! It’s your uncle Ryoko!” He said it with a smile.

Uncle Ryoko is my father big brother and he lives by himself.

“Hello.” I said, trying to force smile on it.

My mom greeted him and talked for awhile while I looked around the surrounding. This part of area is not very much developed and it’s more towards to the nature side.

“Well I will show you the way to my house now and tomorrow I will show you the school okay?” said uncle Ryoko.

I nodded while my mom helped me with the luggage.

Uncle Ryoko lives near the forest. He’s a farmer and I guess if I live him, I will have to do some farming as well… I suppose.

The school is quite near to Uncle Ryoko house. It is based on nature feel. Feels nice to be here I guess and my heart started calm down a bit.

“Tomorrow I will do the registration for you in the school,” said my mom.

I nodded.

After a few months the school will start…

“Today the star sure is many!” beamed Uncle Ryoko with a smile.

“Anything but stars please… I hated them…” I said sadly.

“Why the blue face?” asked Uncle Ryoko.

I did not reply and stared at the floor.

After a while I left the scene.

I’m down again…

What are you doing Reiki?

How’s your new school?

What did you do today?

Did anyone bully you?

Did any guys catch your attention?

Anyone trying to court you?

There are so many questions in my mind right now. I wish it could be answer… I wish I’m there… to look after you… to protect you… I’m sorry… Rei..ki..

Chapter 2: Reunion

..:: Five Years Later ::..

“Five years have passed already and I just felt like it’s just yesterday.” I said softly while looking at the sky after getting off the train.

“I wonder how all my friends are doing now.” I muttered. I took out a cigarette out and started to light it with a lighter and smoked on it.

“Well I think I better head back home now. It’s been ages…” I said.

I threw away the leftover cigarette and step on it.

“I’m H-O-M-E!” I said loudly while entering my house.

“Welcome home, son!” my mom smiled and hug me.

“It’s great to be home…” I said.

“I have obtained the good news from your uncle! I heard you got an outstanding result in your exam and you have been offered to work in a very well known company! Congrats!” My mom said with a big smile. “I’m happy for you!”

“Aww man... Uncle Ryoko spoiled all the fun!” I said, smiling.

Both us laughed and chat what I have done over these years.

“Oh yeah… this is all letters from your friends. I didn’t get a chance to hand it over to you. Here you are,” My mom handed me the letters.

“Whoa… Isn’t this too many? I never know that my friends still write to me even till now?” I said with a surprise look on it.

“If I did not miscount it, it should be around 60 letters and from the very same person too,” My mom said.

“I wonder who the hell is so free…” I said. I looked at the sender name. It’s… from Reiki…

I stared at the pile of letters with the name Reiki on it.

After a while I took my stuff to my room along with the pile of letters.

I unpack my stuff and started to unload it into my room.

After a few hours of unpacking my stuff finally it’s over. I sat down near my veranda, enjoying the wind with a cold fizzy drink.

“Ahh… it feels good with the wind blowing towards you after all the hard work!” I said.

Suddenly I remember the letters from Reiki. I thought for a long time.

“Should I read it?” I murmured. “Maybe not, it’s useless now, isn’t it? Five years have passed… This piled of letters ain’t good for me now.” I said.

“Forget about it, Dai!” I said, encouraging myself.

“Forget about it, Dai!” I said it again.

I took out my cigarette and started to smoke on it again. I think it’s getting a habit now. Everytime I thought of her, I will start smoking… I breathe out loudly.

“Wonder what she is doing now,” I spoke softly and looked at the passerby one by one, wasting my time.

Can’t believe I still like her so much after so many years… what dedication I have. I can’t believe it… It’s so unbelievable. I look at the things I have unloaded. Almost half of the stuff there is for her. The things that I knew she will like. I felt so stupid buying it and not giving it to her… what coward I am…

Maybe it’s because I have been rejected twice last time and now my heart felt so scared of the pain. The pain of being rejected.

“Oh well! Let’s forget about it for now and get ready for tomorrow work!” I said with a smile.

“Good Morning! Mr.Dai! Welcome abroad!” Said my boss with a smile.

“Great to have a chance to work with you sir!” I replied in a smile.

“Alright let’s get down to business, Miss Yumi will show you to your office and introduce you to your staff. Good luck! And I will send over the details of your work afterward.” said the boss quickly.

“Thank you!” I said and left the office with Miss Yumi who brought me to my office.

“Our boss is so happy that you are working in our company! He said you are a rising star in the business area and talented too.” Miss Yumi said.

“You’re joking, right? I never knew I’m that famous because I just came out from school!” I said.

“Yes, I know… but based on our information, your talents in this field and will prove as an important asset to our company,” She replied.

“Whoa… I’m getting a lot of pressure from the boss right now!” I said.

Miss Yumi laughed and finally I reached my office.

“Mr. Dai, this is your office and here is your staff.” Miss Yumi said.

I look around and saw a man and two ladies.

“This is Megumi and Neero,” said Miss Yumi pointing at a pretty long hair girl and then to a cute blonde girl.

“Hello!” said both of them and I nodded and smiled at them.

“And here we have Mikako,” Miss Yumi said.

“Mikako? That name sounds familiar…” I said.

“Hello!” he said.

“Mikako Noriyuki?” I said in a surprised manner.

“Yeah what’s up?” Said Mikako.

“Come on you forget about me already?” I said.

“You are?” he asked.

“Man… what kind of friend are you?” I said happily.

“I can’t really remember who you are,” Mikako said and was totally confused and blur.

“Come on! We used to be in high school together! Dai Kotomi?” I said.

“Dai… Dai… Dai… OH! Dai! Where the hell have you been?? It’s been how many years? Five years man! How are you? Where have you been?” He beamed a smile at me.

“Ha-ha-ha… great to see you here Mikako. Guess we will be able to work together as a team just like old times!” I said.

“Yeah, just like old times. Remember how we use to…” Said Mikako.

..:: Few hours later ::..

“Whoa… they sure got lots of things to talk about…” said both Megumi and Neero smiling to each other.

“Sigh! Boys… what can we expect?” both of them said.

..:: Few days later ::..

“Hey Dai, have you met all our ex-classmates yet?” asked Mikako.

“Yeah… All except…” I paused.

“Except?” ask Mikako.

“Reiki…” said both Mikako and me. I looked at Mikako wondering how the hell he know what I’m going to say.

“See I’m right, aren’t I?” Mikako said.

“How do you know?” I asked.

“Well I can just guess it… after you left without any word, Reiki seems like another person. She doesn’t smile anymore. She becomes a loner.” Said Mikako. “I bet you two have a very deep relation. She seems so upset all the time and always not concentrating at everything she does.”

I stared at Mikako and asked, “Where is she now?”

“I don’t know. After we graduated from the school I have never seen her or even contacted her,” Mikako replied.

“Maybe you should go visit her?” Mikako said.

“But… where?” I said.

“I don’t know… At least you can try?” Mikako said.

I suddenly remembered the piles of letter from her.

I left the office and quickly dashed back to my home.

“Hey where are you going? I don’t mean now? When you are free, okay? Hey!!! What it’s working time!!” Mikako shouted.

I dashed into my room and started tearing the first letter that Reiki sent to me.

1^st letter:
Dai, Where have you been? I miss you. I’m going live with my aunt because the school is nearer to my aunt house. Please reply my letter.

2^nd letter:
Dai, it’s the second month. Where have you been? Please don’t hide from me…

3^rd letter:
Dai, it’s the third month. Today the school starts and I didn’t see you. I’m very sad. You are very important to me. Please tell me where you are.

Dai, it’s the fifty-nine month. It’s almost 5 years. Where have you been all this year? Please… I begged of you.

60^th letter:
Dai, it’s been sixty month we lost contact. Where are you? It’s been 5 years. I heard that the place where we always go in the past is going to be demolished for residential purpose. I don’t want it to be destroyed! It’s the place where we shared our memory…

“Reiki…” I mutter and I stared around for a while and then finally rush out of my house.

“Where are you going, Mikako? How come you are not working today?” My mom asked.

“I’m off to where my memory is!” I replied.

“Huh? Where your memory is?” said my mum in puzzled.

“Reiki, I know where you are. Just wait for me. I will be there in a sec,” I muttered.

~Car stopping~

“Reiki!!!!” I shouted.

“Where are you??” I shouted again.

A shadow behind the aged tree slowly showed up.

It’s… Reiki…

“Reiki.” I said with a smile.

“Dai? Is that you Dai?” Reiki asked.

“Yes… I’m back…” I said smiling.

“Dai!” She said and come hugging me, crying.

“Dai! Where have you been? I miss you so much. Please don’t go anywhere without telling me again,” Reiki cried.

“Yeah… I will never again.” I said.

“ And I meant it. I will never leave you alone again, Reiki.” I said.

After that we chat under the tree just like old times.

“Dai, did you read the letters I send to you? They are going to demolish this place for residential purposes. This place is where our memory is. I don’t want it to be demolished…” She said.

“Don’t worry, I will handle it,” I said confidently.

“Meet me here tomorrow night, ok?” I said.

~The Night comes~

“Hey! Sorry! I’m late” I said.

“It’s okay,” Said Reiki with a smile. “You look very happy today, don’t you?”

“Oh look at this.” I said showing her a letter.

“Oh my god!” Said Reiki in a confusing way after she finished reading the letter she stares at me.

“You bought this place? I mean how did you? Where did you get the money from?” She asked with a mixture of surprises and happy face.

“Ha-ha… I found out who bought that place and negotiate with him about selling it to me and it was a success! Every month I have to pay him a fix amount.” I said with a smile.

“But... but isn't it going to be expensive?” She asked.

“Oh that… You don't have to worry about it. I got it all plan out. After all this place means a lot to us...” I said.

“Dai…” She said in a very worried voice.

“It’s okay… it’s for you… anything worth it,” I said.

A couple just passed by…

“Ahh… the star sure is shinning brightly today, isn’t it?” asked the woman.
“Yeah… Look! A wishing star! Let’s make a wish!” replied the man.

“Actually what did you wish for that time? I mean that time when we saw the wishing star five years ago?” I asked.

“I think it should be the same as yours,” She said with a smile.

Wedding Plan

Summary: Keitaro Mitsuki, a guy who sacrifice his life to help Suzumiya Naiko success in her love life.

The name is Keitaro Mitsuki. Everyone call me Kei. I guess that has become my nick name. I’m a 21 year old guy living around somewhere and almost finish with my university life. Just about few more months and I will be graduating. Everything in my life is dull.

“Hey! Snap out of it! The teacher going to catch you day-dreaming again.” says Suzumiya who sit just beside me. Suzumiya Naiko, the first girl I ever love deeply in my whole life but she doesn’t know about it, but we are kinda close friend and hang out most of the time.

“Oh! Sorry! Thanks…” I whisper back to her.

“You two! See me after lesson is over! NO excuses!” Shout the teacher who happened to spot us talking.

“Ah man…” I say in utter stress.

“Sorry that I got you in this mess.” I say to Suzumiya who look sad about it.

“It’s ok, don’t worry about it.” She says in a smile.
My heart started to pump faster and quickly continue with our work.

= After School =

“Man… It’s two of us only.” I say in dismay.

“Ha-ha… I don’t think the teacher going to lecture us? Or is he?” asks Suzumiya in a sarcastic way with a smile.

“Well basically, yea… but I don’t know.” I say with a smile while looking away thru the window to avoid eye contact with her.

-Silence-

“Hey, you got any target?” I ask. I am totally surprised! My god… why did I ask this stupid question! (-.-“) This is so ultra weird and embarrassing.

“Err… well ya… I guess?” she says softly and slightly blushing.

“Oh… I see… mind telling me who he is?” I ask sadly forcing a smile on it.

“He’s Kyo Konami…” Suzumiya whispers.

“O…ok… WHAT!! HIM?” I roar in surprise and stare at her.

Kyo Konami who is a bad temper person who always end up in trouble and always fighting around outside school.

“Ya…. Him…” She says softly and was terrified by my voice.

“So… sorry…” I say softly and when back to my sit and kept quiet for a while.
She just nods and not a conversation is start after that.

“Alright, you two come in!” says the teacher.

We left the school after the teacher lecture. It was dull and boring! We said goodbye to each other and left the school quietly towards our home direction.

+Next Morning+

“Hey Kei!” Kyo suddenly talk to me. I stood there looking at him. Half annoy and half blur.

“How the hell did Suzumiya fall in love with this guy? I know he’s better looking guy than me… but it’s just so unfair…” I say in my mind.

“Ya? What do you want?” I reply annoyingly.

“I have a favor.” He said happily.

“And that is?” I reply quickly.

“Is it possible that I borrow some money from you?” he whispers into my ears.

“For? And how much?” I asked. Quickly his face changes a bit and then he doesn’t seem willing to talk about it.

“I owe someone 100,000 yen so… is it possible that I borrow some money from you pleased?” he whispers politely.

“What the hell did you do?” I ask and shock to hear that kind of amount.

“Ah… come on… don’t worry about the detail, ya?” Kyo says happily

“Mmm… when do you need it?” I ask him. I felt so stupid!! Why am I trying to help him? He’s your love rival, dude! Dumb o’me.

“ASAP” says Kyo who is smiling happily when I finally accept to help him.

“Ok tomorrow then.” I says quickly and left the scene.

“Thanks mate! You just save my life!” he said loudly before I disappear.

..:: Later around school ::..

“Alright! Guess if I continue in my lesson everyone will really fall asleep so I will give you guys 2 minutes break.” Says the teacher and left the classroom to refill his cup of coffee.

“Why the gloom and trouble face?” Suzumiya asks me.

“Arhh… it’s nothing don’t worry about it, ya?” I reply.

“Should I tell her or not?” I question my mind.

Then I shake my head and ask, “Hey, how do you end up loving him?”

“Well… he kinda saves me once outside the school… so you know… and whenever I’m near him, my heart just pop faster.” Said Suzumiya blushing.

“Well just my advise ya? I don’t really think he’s that good… I know… I know… I may sound bad… but honestly in my view.” I said firmly while staring at her.

“Let’s continue this later.” I said before she can reply because the teacher just came in.
She nods and looks a bit sad on what I said about Kyo.

..:: Lunch Time ::..

I go out to the open field and rest under the big tree and relax… we got 1 whole hour until the afternoon class start… I start to think about Suzumiya and Kyo being together… This is so unbearable to me! I can’t stand it…

“Hey Keitaro! I don’t really agree with what you just said just now!” Said Suzumiya coming towards me.

“I said nothing wrong…” I reply softly and sounded a bit bad mood.

“Kyo like to help people around! I find that he’s a nice person!” Suzumiya says.

“Why are you trying to defend him!!” I says, getting a bit hot under the collar.

“I’m not trying to defend him! I like him and I don’t like the way on how you think about him!” She replies hotly.

“I like you, Suzumiya!” I say loudly while looking at her. Finally it comes out from my mouth… I can’t bear it any more…

“I like … you… Suzumiya.” I say again slowly.

It was a total silence after that and she just left the scene slowly and disappears into the school.
I stare at her and kept sitting under the tree and trying to rethink of what I have just done.

“Oh man! I mess up my life! This is so untrue man!” I said sadly punching on to the soil.

“What the hell is wrong with me!” I mumble.

“Hey Kei! Where’s the stuff I ask you for?” Kyo asks me while I was busy trying to put all my stuff into the locker.

“Come with me…” I say to him looking at another direction and storm slowly towards an empty room.

“Alrighty…” He says happily and follows me.

“So, where are the goods?” He asks impatiently looking around.

“I will hand in the goods once you tell me something.” I say sternly.

“And that is?” He asks curiously.

“What do you think of Suzumiya Naiko?” I ask.

“She’s hot! Man! But I can’t seem to talk to her. Every time when I’m near her, I can’t seem draw my courage to talk to her.” Says Kyo

“Ok that’s what I want to hear… I want you to approach her and treat her well, ok? And don’t mess anything up again.” I say to Kyo.

“Why do I have to do it?” He asks stubbornly.

“She likes you… You saved her once… and she fell for you…” I say sadly.

“Is it, true? God I can’t believe it! Suzumiya! Your mine! Come on now! Hand me the goods and I need to talk to Suzumiya F-A-S-T!” He says happily.

“Here you are…” I says sadly.

“Yahoo! Here I come! Suzumiya!” Kyo says happily and quickly walking away from me without saying anything.

“…treat her well, ya? Kyo” I Says to him as he disappear away from the scene.

= Recess time =

“Kei… Just now Kyo talk to me…” Whisper Suzumiya.

“Oh… good then.” I say quickly ending the conversation.

“He asks me to be his girlfriend.” She whispers softly.

“Gratz…“ I say and left the scene without saying anything else.

“Wait Kei…” She says but I disappear in front of her already.

= Months later =

“Finally a job, after graduated from that university.” I said happily walking out of the company which had just hired me.

“Hey Keitaro! You remember me?” Says a very familiar voice from behind.

I turn to where the sound came from. “Kyo Konami?” I question him.

“Bingo!” he says quickly with a force smile.

“You look very pale and so different. What have you done to yourself after graduated from the university?” I ask curiously.

He ignored my question and was looking around as if someone is searching for him.

“There he is! Don’t let him get away this time!” says a tuxedo guy loudly.

“Damn! I need to hide, man! Catch you another time!” he says quickly and dashed away from me quickly.

I stood there looking confuse and blur about the situation. Suddenly the tuxedo guy starts walking towards me.

“Hey kid, you know Kyo?” He asks.

“Yea… kinda.” I say bravely.

“Well you better ask him to watch out!” he says angrily and left.

“When is his special date again? And find where it is!! I will skin him alive when I catch him.” He says angrily to his employee.

“Kyo, what trouble again you got yourself into now…” I mumble while staring blurry and confused at the tuxedo guy while he left with his car.

-ring-ring-ring-ring-

The phone rings.

“Hello?” I answer after picking up the phone.

“Hello? Is this Kyo Konami?” someone on the phone ask.

“Yes, I am. Who is this?” I ask and was trying to figure out the familiar voice.

“It’s me, Suzumiya.” She says.

“Ahh… Suzumiya… Mmm… how are you? Is there any matter?” I ask trying to sound happy.

“I’m fine; well there is something that I need to tell you. Me and Kyo are getting married in one week time. I hope you can attend the wedding dinner that day.” She says.

-Silence-

“Ya, sure… I will attend it, where and when is the exact date?” I ask sadly.

“It’s at Maxwell hotel at around 6pm on xx/xx/xxxx.” she says.

“Alright… see you on that day. Bye” I say softly and hang up the phone quickly.

“I can’t believe it… I still… I still… love her…” I say softly.

“Wait… the guy in tux mention about a special day... does he mean that day?” I question myself.

=Wedding night=

“Welcome everyone! Welcome to my lovely dear wife, Suzumiya and my, wedding dinner!” Says Kyo loudly over the microphone. “I hope everyone will enjoy tonight feast!” He says happily.

I sit around a corner alone while the rest are in couple.

Suzumiya see me sitting around and come towards me.

“Hey! Keitaro! Long time we haven’t seen each other! How are you?” She says happily.

“Hello… I’m fine. You really look very beautiful tonight…” I say in a smile while admiring her beauty.

“Thanks.” She says with a little red in her cheek.

We chat for a while but was interrupted shortly after Kyo drag Suzumiya away introducing her to his relatives.
I look at my watch.

“It’s almost 7 now. I think I better check thing out.” I say.
“Hey Kyo, Suzumiya! I’m really sorry but I have to go now. Something suddenly turns up.” I say sadly to them.

“Come on man… do you have to go now? Stay a while longer.” Kyo says.

“I’m sorry… I really can’t. I bless you two having eternal happiness and goodbye.” I say with a smile and left the area.

“He said goodbye… It sounds like he is not going to see us anymore or anything.” Says Suzumiya who is a bit worry.

“Don’t be stupid!” Says Kyo.

I walk out of the door and close it slowly. I take a deep breathe while closing my eye and release the capture air then I open my eyes.

Slowly out of the blue, lots of people surround the hotel entrance.

“Who are you guys?” I ask bravely.

“Hey kid, get outta way. We are here for Kyo! Not you!” said one of the guy.

“So my prediction is right… you guys were planning to mess up my friend wedding day is it?” I ask.

“It’s none of your business!” Says another guy.

“You messing my friend IS my business!” I say loudly making sure that nobody inside the hotel can hear it.

“Get him guys! This kid must be given a lesson!” Says another guy.

All the people who surrounded the hotel charge towards me. Some of them are arm with baseball bat, knife and etc.

I try to fight some off and was quite successful in the first place but in the end I am overwhelm and outnumber by them.

I am force to defense myself on the floor with no chance to attack them back. All of them hit me like a punching bag. I started to spill blood around the floor and is terribly hurt. I can sense my life is near its end, but I stand up and try to resist some of the attack.

Most of the people stop attacking when they see me stand up again, while the rest is being order to attack.

“Stop!!” Says a voice from behind the legion of guys. It’s the tuxedo guy.

“Kid, you show me something… Alright I will let Kyo go… Let’s go, guys.” Say the tuxedo guy and the left the area with his gang.

I stand there looking at the people slowly walking away from the scene and drop to the floor cover with serious and deep wound all over.

After a while the police came to catch the gang but were too late but instead hurriedly call an ambulance for me.

“Someone is injured out there!” Says someone bursting into the door of the room where Suzumiya and Kyo are having.

All rush out to look what have happen.

Suzumiya slowly reach to the injure me.

“KEI!!” She says loudly and pushes others away and come towards me.

“What happened to you!! Kei! Please kei!” She cries.

“I… You…” I blabber while gasping for air.

“Please say no more.” She cries while trying to clam me down. I try to resist her from stopping me saying anything because I know my end is near.

“I … still… love… you...” I say slowly and close my eyes.

“KEI!!!!” she sobs.

“No! Wake up Kei!” Suzumiya cries. The ambulance come and quickly come towards my body to examine.

“It’s too late.” Says the medic and cover my face with a cloth.

“NOOO!!” Suzumiya sobs unable to believe the fact.

= Years Later =

-Door bell-

“I’m coming!” Suzumiya says.

“Hello! Are we ready?” Kyo says.

“I’m ready, let’s move, keitaro must be waiting for us.” Suzumiya says.

“Yes, let’s” Kyo says.

Suzumiya close the door and quickly walk together with Kyo. They walk slowly towards their destination.

“Isn’t that Suzumiya and Kyo? I thought their wedding was unsuccessful?” Whisper a passer-by.

“I heard the bride found someone else, is it true?” said another passer-by.

Twiplets

“Hey wake up already, Sakura,” said Sakuri Yagamato. Sakuri Yagamato is a very cheerful girl, full of energetic power. Sakura and Sakuri are identical twins. So identical that even their parents sometime mixes them up.

“Yea… yea… just a few more minutes please…” replied Sakura Yagamato. Sakura Yagamato is a very polite and full of enthusiasm. Well basically they are almost identical and almost the same behavior. (-.-‘)

“Come on! Wake up now! Or else you’re going to be late for school!” said Sakuri while pulling the blanket.

“Sakura! Wake up now!!” their mom shouts from downstairs.

Sakura straight away jump up from her bed and get prepare for her day. They know that they don’t want to get into the bad side of their mother.

-On the way to school-

Sakura yawned.

“You had stayed up late again yesterday, didn’t you?” asked Sakuri.

“Yea… was just trying to finish my homework… or else Mr. Komako will skin me alive,” Sakura replied.

“Hahaha…” laughed Sakuri.

“Hey! Good morning, Sakura and Sakuri!” Keita Miyamo said. Keita Miyamo is the same grade as Sakura and Sakuri. He’s a happy go round guy who likes to tag along anything that is interesting.

“Morning!” Both Sakura and Sakuri replied.

“I just heard that there is a new transfer student from another school to our classroom,” Keita said happily.

“Is it? Is it a guy or a girl?” asked Sakuri with surprise.

“I’m not so sure, but I heard a lot of people around the school said it’s a girl,” answered Keita.

“Yes!! We might get along,” Sakuri said happily.

“What’s with the blur face, Sakura?” asked Keita.

“Fear that the new girl will become the twin’s rivalry?” continued Keita.

“Don’t worry about her, she stay up late again yesterday,” replied Sakuri.

Keita nod, smiling.

“But… poor girl, what’s the point of changing school? It’s almost the end of term and everyone will be enjoying the upcoming Christmas,” said Sakuri.

“Yea… you’re right,” Keita replied.

“Oh well…” said Sakura.

Sakura and Sakuri are always on the hottest topic in the school for their identical ways.

-Lesson time-

“Ahem everyone back to your seat now!” Mr. Komako said. Mr. Komako, a very strict class teacher who likes everything to be perfect and sometime he’s very nice and gentle… that is sometime…

-Everyone run back to their seat and says their greetings to the teacher-

“Alright class… We have a new transfer student…” Mr. Komako said in a very stress tone.

“You guys are going to be a bit surprise…” continued Mr. Komako.

“What’s up with him?” asked Sakuri to Sakura.

“I don’t know,” Sakura yawned.

“Come in, Takedo Minowa,” Mr. Komako said.

The boy’s in the classroom was waiting for this moment. While the girls wanted to see who is this new rival but instead…

“WAAAAAAAAAAAA………..” Everyone screamed.

“It’s it’s…” Keita repeated.

A boy came in instead of a girl, which everyone is confused but that’s not all.

“I never know that Sakura and Sakuri are triplets!” someone said.

“They are like totally identical!!” said another.

“Wow… totally... cool…” said Keita scratching his head.

Sakura and Sakuri stared at Takedo. Both of them stunned and blurred and keep rubbing their eyes as if their eyes were playing tricks on them.

Takedo on the other hand, was not at all surprise and find it amusing.

“Silence!” shouted Mr. Komako. Everyone silence down and keeps staring at Takedo.

“Alright, Takedo… you will be sitting next over there near that window,” said Mr. Komako who pointed the direction.

Takedo goes to where he was appointed and sat down quietly.

-So the lesson begin and recess comes-

“Hey. Hey Takedo! Where do you come from? Are you a relative of Sakura and Sakuri?” Keita asked who is trying to be friendly while the rest of the classmate is waiting for his reply.

“Whoa- whoa … one question at a time please…” Said Takedo

“I’m from Yokohama. Might be, I don’t know,” replied Takedo.

*Total silence*

Suddenly Takedo stood up and approached Sakura and Sakuri who still staring at him like a mirror effect except that Takedo is a guy.

“Mmm… no wonder the teacher was so surprise when they saw me,” Takedo said to the twins.

Sakuri nodded.

“Yea… I wonder… Is there a possibility that we might be related or something?” Sakura asked curiously.

“Mmm… I don’t think so,” Takedo replied.

“Guess we should let the triplets alone…” sighed Keita and went to get some food while the others keep on staring at the Sakuri, Sakura and Takedo who look totally alike.

-Everyone wonder off-

The day pass and nearly the term ends. Takedo become a good friend of the twins and they soon become the hottest topic in the school.

“Hey, I was just wondering, why did you transfer school since it’s near the term?” Sakura asked curiously, while Sakuri listen.

“Oh, it’s because of my parents work. They had been transfer working around this area. So I have no choice but to tag along,” replied Takedo.

“Hey the Twi-Plets, Want to have lunch together?” asked Keita.

“Since when do we have that name?” Sakuri asked Keita ironically.

“Oh! You know, it’s typical for Keita who like to make up name for anyone who he wants to have a laugh on,” answered Sakura.

“Alright!” answered Takedo calmly.

“Hey! Since when are you the leader and start making decision for us?” said both Sakura and Sakuri.

“Ha-ha…” laughed Takedo.

The ‘Twiplets’ goes and sit with Keita who is alone and looking at them with puppy eyes which they totally cannot resist.

“Hey let’s go out on Christmas day and celebrate it!” suggested Keita with a smile.

“I don’t think I can make it, my parents don’t really like me going anywhere during event like this,” Takedo said in a sad tone.

“Aww, come on… why is that?” they asked.

“I’m not so sure,” Takedo replied sadly.

“Too bad I guess…” Sakuri said.

..:: Christmas Eve ::..

“Hey, Sakuri are you sure this is the place?” asked Sakura.

“It should be according from the address I have in my hand,” replied Sakuri.

“We’re here,” Sakuri said.

“It’s… It’s Humongous! You really sure this is his house!!??” Sakura asked in a surprise and stun voice.

The house is cover up by a huge silver fencing, around the house is cover with a field of snow and there is even a swimming pool and also a pond which have totally frozen.

Sakuri gulped.

“He’s a rich guy, I suppose,” said Sakuri in a shaky voice.

“Come on, Sakuri press the doorbell!” ordered Sakura.

“Why me?” asked Sakuri in confusion.

“Because it’s your idea of coming over!” answered Sakura.

Sakuri took a deep breathe and walk towards the doorbell and press it.

A maid appears in front of the gate.

“Oh god! Two young masters?” the maid said in a weak scream while rubbing her eyes. “Mmm… this is suspicious!” continued the maid.

“Who are you guys looking for?” the maid asked.

“Ta-ta-kedo Mi-mi-nowa…” asked Sakuri.

“Oh! Young master is it?” the maid said calmly.

“If I’m not wrong, you’re Sakura and Sakuri which the young master always talks about,” the maid said with a smile.

“Please follow me…” said the maid politely.

The gate open by itself and the twins followed the maid.

“Phew! Finally…” Sakura said.

“Yea… the garden sure is big!” Sakuri said.

“Please wait here while I summon the young master,” said the maid and leave the twins in a big living room.

“Sakura! Sakuri! Why are you two here!?” asked Takedo rushing into the living room.

“Surprise!” both the twins said.

“Since you’re unable to go out, we decide to visit,” Sakuri said happily.

“Thanks…” Takedo said with a smile.

-So the Twiplets have their lovely time together-

“Hey do you think we can come by tomorrow again?” asked Sakura.

“Sure! No problem. I will arrange some games,” Takedo said in an exciting tone holding Sakura hand. Sakura blushed.

Sakuri felt a pain in her heart.

“Hey, I think we should be going now,” Sakuri said.

“Yea… let’s go” said Sakura.

“Bye! Takedo… see you tomorrow!” shouted both the twins to Takedo.

-Eve Night-

“Hey Sakura, you asleep already? I want to have a word with you please,” Sakuri asked while walking into Sakura bedroom.

“Not yet. What do you want to talk about?” Sakuri asked sleepily.

“Sakura, do you like Takedo?” asked Sakuri.

Sakura stayed silence and says nothing.

“Ok… I understand.” Sakuri said and left the room.

-So the rivalry starts-

..:: Next Morning (Christmas) ::..

“Hey Sakura, wake up already!!” Sakuri said.

“Merry Christmas!!” shrieked Sakuri happily.

“Huh? Christmas already? O…ok… Merry Christmas,” Sakura said and went back to sleep.

“Hey wake up already! It’s already nine in the morning,” Sakuri said and start pulling Sakura’s blanket.

“Ok… ok… I’m wide awake now… thanks,” Sakura said and went to the bathroom.

= After awhile =

“Merry Christmas everyone!” Sakura said happily.

“Merry Christmas.”

--In somewhere near a forest—

“So Christmas already… should we take action?” a mysterious guy said.

“Mmm… do as you wish, Miyami…” a tuxedo guy said.

“Right on!” said Miyami.

/\ Takedo House/\

“Hey! You finally came! Keita is already here!” Takedo said.

“Huh? Keita?” mumbled both Sakura and Sakuri.

“Oh well, I guess?” Sakuri said.

“Come on in and enjoy,” Takedo said in a smile.

“Yo! Finally the twiplets here…” Keita laughed.

“Oh yea! Merry Christmas,” said Sakuri and Sakura to Keita and Takedo.

“Whoa! That is what I call a replica. Man! How can I ever differentiate you two when both of you are saying it in the same time!” Keita said stupidly.

-Everyone laughs-

“Party over’s everybody!” the mysterious guy who was named Miyami said while slowly walk out from the door.

“Takedo! Ready to be kill!” Miyami said.

“What the?” Keita said in a shock. While the twins screamed.

“Did I come in the wrong time? I saw three Takedo!” says Miyami rubbing his eyes.

Without any hesitation, Miyami caught hold of Sakura.

“Help!!” Sakura said.

“Let go of her! It’s me who you want!” Takedo said.

Takedo’s bodyguard came from behind and tries to catch Miyami but Miyami release Sakura and dodge the attack. Sakura runs towards to the group.

“Everybody RUN!” shouted Takedo while his bodyguard come and try to Miyami but in a spilt second his bodyguard was taken down.

“What’s going on?” Sakuri asked in a panic voice.

“Long story… Just keep on running towards the exit and you will be saved,” Takedo said.

They finally reach the exit and the place is fill with snow.

“Let’s go get some help!” said Sakura panting.

“Yes, let’s go…” Keita said.

Takedo suddenly stop because he heard the footstep of Miyami.

“What are you doing? Come on!” shouted Keita.

“You guys go on ahead… There’s something I need to make sure,” Takedo said.

“But… but…” Sakura said in a worried voice.

“Don’t worry; nothing will happen to me… This is not the first time…” Takedo said coolly.

The three stood there and was idle.

“Keita please take care of them please,” Takedo said.

“You got lots of explaining to do later…” said Keita who seems to understand a bit of the situation.

“GO NOW!” Takedo shouted. Keita pull the twins and run into the nearby bush.

Miyami stop and look at Takedo who look at him.

“Who are you? And why are you doing this!” Takedo asked confidently.

“You don’t need to know who I am. It’s because of your parents that I suffer… I want to let them taste the pain of losing their loved ones,” Miyami said.

“You must be kidding…” Takedo replied with a smile. “If I’m not wrong your Miyami Takashi…” said Takedo calmly.

“How did you know?” Miyami asked in a frightened voice.

“Don’t think that I’m just a kid… I know everything my parents do…” Takedo said.

“It’s Christmas… It’s been one year since she died. It’s not anyone fault,” Takedo continued.

“How can you say as if nothing has happened!” Miyami shouted angrily staring at Takedo.

“I know because. It’s her own will to sacrifice herself to protect my father. Please understand…” Takedo said.

“We know that it’s very sad… It was a great loss too to lose a girl like that,” Takedo said.

“NO! Don’t speak as if you understand my pain!” Miyami said. Takedo blinked his eye and from the back his men capture the guy and pull him down to the ground.

“Get off me!” Miyami shouted.

“Here read this…” one of the bodyguards of Takedo said while holding a letter.

“It’s from her…” Takedo said.

“Miyami… By the time you read this, I may have gone to the other world… But it’s my duty to protect Mr. Minowa. Please don’t be sad about it… I’m happy and willing to … I know this day will come so I prepare this while I’m still alive just in case… I understand that you will make trouble for Mr. Minowa… so please stop it… I beg of you… and stay healthy… Take care…”

Miyami read the letter and cried.

“Rina…” He shouted.

“Release him” Takedo said. Miyami stood up and was staring at the letter.

“We will compensate you… don’t worry…” Takedo said.

“I don’t want anything…” Miyami said and walked towards the gate and disappear.

“Whoa… That’s it?” ask Keita who walked out from the place he hid.

The twins stood there and watched from behind.

“Heh… I thought I ask you guys to run away,” Takedo said with a smile.

“It’s a tough job for me to pull this two…” Keita said with a laugh.

“I’m glad you’re okay!” Sakura said.

“Don’t ever do it again!” Sakuri said.

The twins run towards Takedo and hugged him.

Takedo blushes while Keita kick the snow. (-.-‘)

“Ok- ok enough…” Takedo said shyly

“Ha-ha…” laughed keita.

“Mm… It’s snowing…” said Keita looking at the sky.

“Let’s go in and continue our Christmas,” Takedo said.

Sakura and Sakuri nodded.

“Not again! The ‘twins act’ again… You know, maybe we should make Takedo wear some girls cloth and then you guys really will be triplets!” Keita laughed happily.

“It’s a great idea!” Sakuri said happily.

“No way! I don’t want it!” Keita said while running away.

The rest try to catch up with him and was laughing loudly.
